An ssdfb driver first appeared in OpenBSD 6.4 and later in NetBSD 9.0.
The ssdfb driver was written by Tobias Nygren <>. It was inspired by (and shares its name with) the OpenBSD driver written by Patrick Wildt <> but does not share any code.
Some modules can be reconfigured to attach via spi(4), typically by mov- ing surface mount zero ohm resistors. This is currently not supported. NetBSD 9.3 March 17, 2019 NetBSD 9.3
