ld - logical disk driver

DESCRIPTION
The ld driver provides support for simple block devices, usually present- ed by a disk array controller.

HISTORY
The ld driver first appeared in NetBSD 1.5.3.

BUGS
This driver is in reality a kludge intended to reduce code size and main- tenance overheads. The capacity and geometry of units as accessed through the ld driver may be different than when accessed through some other medium (e.g. SCSI). NetBSD 1.6.1 April 26, 2002 1
